Quality Control Manager

Twine is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager to collaborate with the internal team and external consultants to lead the coordination effort for all documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of the teams' design and technical delivery, mentors less experienced design staff, and ensures firm-wide compliance with all drawing and technical standards.
  • Ensure that project undergoes standard quality assurance activities including QAQC reviews during each phase of the project
  • Coordinate architecture and engineering disciplines to develop and execute fully coordinated contract documentation 
  • Provide senior level reviews of shop drawing submittals and RFIs from contractors
  • Assist in ensuring projects are completed  on schedule and within budget
  • Develop additional standards and protocols to create more efficient and effective working drawings
  • Review and assist in creating mock-up sets 
  • Solve complex problems in connection with the technical development of large-scale projects
  • Develop and/or review project specific construction details
  • Communicate with the project team and consultants to ensure technically accurate and well-coordinated documents consistent with the design intent
  • Monitor firm-wide documentation for compliance with building code and accessibility requirements
  • Review drawing sets to ensure design intent is clearly conveyed to the Contractor
  • Identify recurring themes and technical areas of weakness and lead educational programming to advance the technical knowledge throughout the office
  • Assist with review of submittals for compliance with design intent, as needed

Requirements:

  • Professional architectural degree
  • 5+ years + broad-based architectural experience, preferably healthcare experience
  • Experience running architectural project teams including communicating and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, producing contract documentation, technical detailing, and construction administration
  • Experience with budget/schedule, and quality assurance/control 
  • Knowledge and working experience with building codes, best practice 
  • Proficient in Revit BIM software, AutoCAD; MS Office Suite, and Bluebeam

Marketing Internship

Our small but growing architectural firm is looking for a Marketing Intern. The successful candidate should be enrolled full or part-time in college and studying marketing or communications. We’re looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to create a career in social media and content marketing. We’re offering a flexible schedule during the academic year.
 
Responsibilities:
1) Research marketing strategies of other architecture firms - plan and implement cohesive branding strategy for Twine
2) Create digital content - update website, and  LinkedIn/Instagram/other social media
3) Research opportunities for Requests For Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests For Proposals (RFP).
4) Interview client and other stakeholders / end users after project completion

Architectural and Interior Design Internship

We offer talented and ambitious undergraduate students the opportunity of working directly with the firm Owner and senior staff, helping to develop key skills and offering learning opportunities in the field of architecture and interior design.  Students will have the opportunity to visit job sites for on-site survey work, assist with rendering during the design phase, drafting during the documentation phase and assist with punch listing at construction completion. 

We offer flexible work hours, scheduled around classes and coursework commitments as needed.
